ABOUT
Àngela Moya Serrat
A “Contemporary” classical musician
Àngela is a classically trained violinist with innate passion for music, and is always eager to learn, create and perform music worldwide. She is violinist at Fame's Project recording studio orchestra in Skopje, Macedonia; where they record music for contemporary artists, films, TV and videogames. During her career, she has belonged to the National Youth Orchestras of the Netherlands (NJO), Catalunya (JONC), Fame's European Recording Orchestra Institute and different chamber music ensembles.
Her passion for music, the joy for live performances and the eagerness to train the skills of the contemporary musicians lead her to study the Master of Contemporary Performance and Production from Berklee College of Music where she graduated summa cum laude. Thanks to this opportunity Àngela has broadened her musical horizons not only as a violinist, but also as a composer, session violinist and producer.
She believes the most pure way to make an audience enjoy a performance is when the soul speaks freely on stage. For her, this full freedom is possible to achieve through live improvisation and a deep and conscious control of the violin technique and sound.
Àngela completed her violin performance degree in 2021 at the Conservatory of Valencia, “Joaquín Rodrigo” and as an internship student at “Codarts, University or the Arts”. Since completing her bachelor studies, she continued her violin training under the guidance of Cecilia Ziano (Rotterdam Philharmonic). She holds a master degree in Musical Research from Valencia International University and she has worked as the artistic director of her multidisciplinary show "INSPIRE" selected and produced by Codarts University of the Arts.
During her career, She has been guided by violin professors like Anja Traub (Munich Philharmonic), András Czifra (Rotterdam Codarts), Gjorgi Dimchevski (Les Arts, Valencia), Eva Koskinen (Utrecht String Quartet), Cecilia Ziano (Rotterdam Philharmonic Orkest) and Federico Nathan (Metropole Orkest). Those of who, have cultivated her interests and shape her until the musician She is today.
As a “contemporary” classical musician, she strives to cultivate an interest for classical music within her audience, whilst creating space for live improvisation and modern styles.
